I've figured out the only way I am gonna remember new words is by publishing them here. So here we go, Para's Guide to English.
1) Specious : Having the ring of truth or plausibility but actually fallacious. I.E. A specious
argument.
2) Pusillanimous : Ignobly lacking in courage
3) Stoic : One who is seemingly indifferent to or unaffected by joy, grief, pleasure, or pain.
4) Blasé : Pronounced Bla-zay. Uninterested because of frequent exposure or indulgence.
5) Extenuate : To lessen or attempt to lessen the magnitude or seriousness of,
especially by providing partial excuses.

discontent.
6) Obsequious : Full of or exhibiting servile compliance; fawning.
7) Maverick : (Noun) One that refuses to abide by the dictates of or resists adherence to a group.
(Adj) Being independent in thought and action or exhibiting such independence maverick politicians; a maverick decision.
8) Sinecure : A position or office that requires little or no work but provides a salary.

9) Ballast(Bal-last) : Something that gives stability, especially in character.
10) Schism : Disunion; discord.
11) Foment : To promote the growth of; incite.
12) Posthumous : 1)Occurring or continuing after one's death: a posthumous award.
2)Published after the writer's death: a posthumous book.
3)Born after the death of the father: a posthumous child.
13) Languid : Lacking energy or vitality; weak: a languid wave of the hand.

I chanced upon the article in LIFE! today, about the 2 sisters who had like 16,000 friends between them. I immediately thought of this postcard I saw on Postsecret.com.
In it, the writer wrote :
"I have 400 over so-called friends in MySpace, but the only one person wished me Happy Birthday. And he was my postman."
Which left me thinking... So wad if we have hundreds and hundreds of friends who are in our accounts? When it comes down to the crunch, I think only a few handful of them would stick by us. I rather have a few handful of really good frens whom I know I can trust, confide in, complain to/with, be mysef when I am out with them, be totally at ease when I go out with them, among other things. No need 16,000 friends... No need 400 friends..
This thought provoking thing has drained alot of my energy just trying to type it.. My god.. I seriously think I am not cut out for serious-topic-typing... sheesh... X_X

Everything is a competition. Everything.Ok now my softer/usual side is back =) Wahahahaha~With that said, sometimes it really depends on luck la.. It all goes hand in hand. Haha. But yea, if the Fates decide to deal you with a tough hand, be strong. Deal with it. We can't rely on luck forever. Fight back. Ultimately, our fate lies in our own hands. Ok lets see, I currently feel like setting my entire wardrobe on fire... Jus light a match and throw it in!!! Wahaha. In other words... I FREAKING HATE MY CLOTHS!!!
I am desperately seriosously totally most-definitely most-certainly 100% need a wardrobe overhaul. I NEED A WARDROBE OVERHAUL!!!

I just got myself a new pair of Levi's jeans, courtesy of the 80 buck voucher I got from Ks, Ant, Eddy, Mervin, Aud and Jeremy.
And I got a new wallet. I hate the buldge wallets make in the Jeans pockets, so I got meself a new one. A uber ultra nice one from ProjectShop. Its cooooool! I love it love it love it!!! =)
Oh ya! I got the coolest nicest ulta-uberishly nice pair of shoes!!! Hoho I totally adore them. A pair of BeetleBug shoes... *drools* I cld jus stare at them forever... So nice... hehehehehehe
Went shopping today with Sl, Serene, Oli, Kw and Al... I thought, given my desperate attempt to give my ugly wardrobe a makeover, I shall like go on a shopping spree, u know, go home with 10 new shirts....
Alas! Cloths nowadays are oh-so-expensive... a poor boy like me can't afford much... All so damn freaking ex can... Great Singapore Sale? OH PLEASE... 10% 20% off called sale ah... rubbish can.. The cloths are already expensive to begin with... wads the freaking use of a 10% discount... At any given time of the year I could easily find some shop with that discount....

fine print *off selected items* and we all noe how many "selected" items there are... lets count shall we... 1, 2.. oh wait! No more! Shessh!More importantly, none of the clothes caught my eye... all so *yawn*....
I have also decided nv to buy tee shirts anymore... All the shirts I shall buy are button down shirts... Must phase out t-shirts... too kiddish to stand out from the crowd.. Now a nice shirt will do the trick.. Hoho =)
My pokemon hasn't sang songs to me in like... 2 days can... wa lao...
O well...
